She is Still Alive

Call off the search!!

Bring the hounds back in!!!

We found her!!

Yes folks...I am alive and mostly sane...I think...that's what the voices in my head have been saying anyways. I've just been a busy little bee with work and soldiers' angels...

I suppose I should also confess that I've got a little secret. But for right now it's cradled in my hand, next to my heart for protection...when the time is right...I will tell you about it. And no worries...I won't keep you waiting too long.

Do you still love me?

Sneaky Little Bastards

The MySpace 'Singles' spammers are on to me.

They know that as soon as I see the name 'Singles' anywhere in a page name...I hit my oh so handy 'delete' button.

So...they've rolled up their sleeves...cracked their knuckles and are now playing sneaky-dirty.

They are now sending messages and friend requests from what looks like a real person. When you visit their page, it's completely normal...has a blurb about the person, their likes, dislikes and all their 'friends.' But when you click on their pictures...you are bombarded by a mass hysteria of company logos and singles events invitations.

Sneaky little bastards.

I want to use a little British cursing here but I don't know what words are appropriate. Pete...help me...

M.I.A

For me, it just doesn't feel like Christmas.

I can't quite put my finger on the how or why...but there is just no holiday cheer in this little heart of mine.

Normally this time of year has me bustling about...listening to my Christmas music in the car, decorating the house, cutting down a Christmas tree...painstakingly writing out thoughtful Christmas cards to send to my friends...

I don't know guys...I just don't have the heart to do any of it this year. It's like the Grinch has stolen my holiday cheer.

Scared to Open Anything

Something wierd's going on.

Over the last week I have been getting an alarmingly frequent number of invitations to singles events sent to my e-mail and MySpace accounts.

When I was just starting to dismiss it as a spammer glitch...I opened my mailbox at home and found one lurking in the dark corner...waiting for me.

I'm starting to think that there is some sort of Divine intervention going on here.

If that's the case...I've got a message for you... BACK OFF.

Thank you sooo much. *In my sweetest southern accent*

I've Decided

Given my brief, but highly fruitful trip across the pond (*wink-wink*), I've decided that I want to immediately adopt some bits of their culture.

For instance...I ADORED having the men call me, Love.

"Can I take your name Love?"

"Would you like another Love?"

"Good to meet you Love."

*Swoon*

Then...there was the whole kiss on the cheek bit. Dear God in heaven...I wasn't expecting that but let me just tell you...there is something SO sexy about a man (preferably a nice looking fellow) taking your hand in his and gently resting his face against yours. The warmth of his skin brushing against your cheek...the feeling of his breath against your ear....

It-was-hot.

Is it getting warm in here or is it just me?

I Wonder

I wonder if this can be cured with a warm body wrapped around me and sweet nothings whispered in my ear...

Any takers?

Delays

I'm so sorry for the absence.

I've been incredibly sick for the last 6 days and although I'm still feeling rather icky, it appears to finally be getting a little better.

Also, in any moments of free time I've been working hard for all of my soldiers. Aside from adopting two, I'm also a member of a Letter Writing Team and TLC team which sends letters specifically to the soldiers who are having a tough time emotionally, are injured, never get any mail, or are in high risk situations. This morning alone I mailed out 21 handwritten cards and letters (my fingers hurt like crazy) and a few DVD's to a unit of Marines that are having problems keeping morale up here around the Holidays. In total I've probably written to about 50 soldiers in the last two weeks. Tomorrow I bake cookies and send out my Christmas packages...we've got to get them through the Holidays.

Just bear with me.
