Since You've Been Gone

Or rather...since I've been gone.

Forgive the absence, there has been much going on and I've struggled with what to share and what to hold back.

Too much of my history is here, ready to haunt at a moments notice. Added to the weariness of the prying eyes that I am fully aware lurk in the shadows of blogdom.

But I did a lot of soul searching and came to the conclusion that I do not give a flying flip about the prying eyes today.

The devil with them.

My true friends...the friends that have followed this spinster and her wee little blog from the beginning, have been kept in the dark too long.

You already know that I've met THE one. You just didn't know that eleven years after we first met, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his Mrs. It's been a long time coming and we are HAPPY.

I think the events of the last couple of years really prepared me appreciate this moment even more.

We've been engaged for awhile, set to marry on April 17, 2010. I've got my dress, a church and and a man that will be waiting for me at the end of the aisle...the rest will get hashed out here soon.

I'm sorry to have kept it quiet from you dear friends but I'm glad I'm able to share it with you now.
