Lost Cause

I'm a lost cause. The weariness has seeped into my bones and now I can't walk...much less think and type. You are reading this post only because I've had a moment of clarity but time is a tickin' and I don't know how the window will last.

I went and saw "The Break Up" this weekend. It was hysterically funny. I LOVED it but I was astonished to see that it is getting nothing but crappy reviews. I guess you actually have to have a sense of humor to enjoy it and most of those critic types have a stick up their ass anyways. I'm a big fan of Vince Vaughn ala "Wedding Crashers" and "Old School"...I think I've even developed a tiny crush on him...humor and a great personality are very sexy. Plus he's really tall and not too thin...I'm all about it.

I promise when the craziness dies down I'll be better at posting and visiting. Work has been so hectic lately and for those of you who don't know, my mom was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer (The main reason I've been so pre-occupied lately) and will be having a hysterectomy tomorrow. Sucks for her. Her surgery is on 6-6-6 at 6am. Geez. Could it get any worse? She said she's going to have to use me to counter it because my birthday is 7-17-77. Seven is supposed to be lucky right? We'll see.

I too will be keeping her in my thoughts tomorrow.

I was surprised to see that 'The Break Up' did so well considering the really bad reviews it got. But I'm not really surprised...I've loved Vince Vaughn in basically everything I've seen him in.

I'll take your review and go with it. We seem to have similar taste in movies. Good luck to your mom, with her surgery tomorrow!!!

I didn't realize you were going through all that with your mom - I'll definitely keep her (and your entire family) in my prayers...

I also read all the reviews said The Break Up was crap, but i'd most likely give it a try. I usually do not read reviews as i want to form my own opinions....and i don't like being told what happens in the movie.

Good luck to your mom :)

Hiya Linny. Just wanted to pop over and wish you and your mom a good night's rest. I know it won't be easy but she's going to do real well.
My heart is with yours tonight. Just look up at that moon...I'm looking too.

Good night dear. Better tomorrow.

It goes without saying, but I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. How could she not come out on top with a row of sevens by her side (and it's the name of my puppy. And there are more sevens in your birthdate than in tomorrow's date! Simple mathematics..)?

7 is lucky. Lucky Linny, that's you. Good thoughts for your mum for tomorrow. Hoping nothing but the best for you and her.

If there's any luck of the Irish, I'm sending it her way.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. They really do mean a lot. I'm part Irish and I've got all those 7's so I'm going in fully loaded with good luck. :o)

Sass: yes I'm on Myspace. Address is: www.myspace.com/spinsterwar

(people from the blogosphere that send me friend requests should maybe send me a message telling me they're from here: if they go by a differenet name than I know: because I get all sorts of wackos trying to be my friend. Pervs.

Px: You're such a great help! Thanks you so much. I've been lost trying to figure things out.

To everyone else: Again a HUGE thank you.

Gee Linny, don't worry. I read in some Geomancer's book that today (6-6-06) is a good day if your karma is strong enough for it, which you mom will be.

I saw X-Men 3 last night, and it, too, was hysterically funny.

What? It's not a comedy???

Btw, we'll give you a pass on the preoccupation this time. I think you have a pretty decent excuse.
