Quick Quick

I'm afraid that Father Time has flown the coup and time is running amuck.

Therefore I haven't the time to post as I'd like and the baby is coming to spend the night...so Aunt Linny is trying to put up all her breakables before grubby little fingers find them.

In the meantime, here is this week's review of "Poseidon"....this weekend I'll be reviewing "The DaVinci Code." I can't wait...the book was great.

Looking forward to your next review :) Over here, I keep hearing a lot of stuff about "the Code" and the fact that some people seem to be confusing fiction with fact (deep sigh). Its getting to the point where I wish people would find someting else to talk about.

So I was at church the other day, and they had people standing at the door passing out a pamphlet entitled, "DaVinci Code: Fact or Fiction."
    Stupid.
And it was obviously meant to stop you from seeing the movie, which is so ironic because my brother had no desire whatsoever to watch the movie or see the book until he read the pamphlet. I think his exact words were, "Awesome - I didnt know it had this much action. Now I totally want to see it."
Talk about a plan gone awry :)

Im going to see DVC tonight.....I cant wait. I read the book forever ago, and then twice since....

hope you had fun with the babe...although, he's not that much a baby anymore is he? When they can walk, I dont consider them babies....little monsters, hence you putting up all your breakables.

I read the book a long time ago & enjoyed it a lot. I've listened to the audio book too. I'm looking forward to reading your review.. but have not seen the movie yet.

Hope you have fun with the little one. :)

You know.. the more I think about it, the more I think Tom Hanks doesn't match the image I had of Robert Langdon... debonaire, handsome, GQ.

This is the reason I never saw "Interview with a Vampire." Tom Cruise didn't look nearly as handsome as the Lestat I'd created in my mind.

Hope you have fun with your nephew!

And I hope the movie isn't a total bust like I have heard.

Great job on the review as always.

I liked the original Poseidon. I think great movies should be left undone.
Didn't they also remake the Poseidon for television starring Steve Guttenberg?

    Hey Linny me girl!

Hope you're having a great weekend! Hope you're doing well. :)

Good luck with the movie review. And enjoy The Da Vinci Code. I refuse to read it or see it, myself. And no, not due to my Christianity...I just don't like the look of Tom Hanks with that freakishly long hair. ;)

    Happy Sunday!
    Your friend,

I hope you plan to post about how your night with the baby went. Wait...what's that noise? (Tick, tick, tick...) I think it's your biological clock ticking. Time's running out Linny. You'd better start working on getting one of those miniature human things for yourself. (Ok, yes, I know you're going to kill me for that. I'm just teasing. You've got plenty of time left.)

Phil...I'm giving you the sternest look I can muster.

the most amusing part of the baby date came when he walked into the kitchen (remember he's only 18 months old and is just starting to talk more...in simple words) he clutches his sippy cup filled with juice and says, "Uh oh...made mess." I walked around the corner and there was juice ALL OVER my carpet... *sigh* But he was so cute, you couldn't be mad.

I HATED the DVC....hated it. It didnt do the book justice, and I am interested to see what your review is.

Please tell me you are joking about that book. That was most poorly written piece of junk I have read that wasn't science fiction. The religious stuff was nonsense. Not the stuff about Jesus, but the stuff about how it was a supposed dualistic religion and harmonious. Bull. In Dan Brown's stupid mind, maybe. The women were just being treated and considered vessels for the men's heir and genetic destiny. How is that at all equal? Answer: Not at all.

I don't even need to delve into the poverty of style and syntax. It read like a boring movie script. I am not at all Christian, I just despise poorly written tripe.
