You Thought You Had Issues...

I'm a busy girl today but I've seen this on various blogs lately and thought it would be something interesting and easy to do.

These are five odd facts about me...

1. I have this weird thing about odd numbers and even numbers. If given the choice...I always choose an even number...to choose an odd one just physically feels 'wrong.' Don't know why. This also goes for directions. In my mind...right is 'even' and left is 'odd.' Therefore, if I'm given the option of going right or left to get to the same place...I ALWAYS go right.

2. I'm terrified of total darkness. I sleep with the television on and have night lights placed throughout the house. This comes from years of watching Unsolved Mysteries, The Twilight Zone and movies about UFO's...(big thanks to Dad). The irrational part of me still harbors a small fear of waking up to find an alien standing at the edge of my bed.

3. I cannot sleep with the closet door open...it must be closed or else I'll feel like someone is watching me all night. I also do not dangle my feet over the bed when I wake up...this stems from the childhood fear of monsters hiding under my bed. I jump from the bed and make sure to scurry out of arms length.

4. I'm lazy when it comes to household chores. I hate to clean. After I do laundry, I fold the clothes and put them into the laundry basket with every intention of going to hang them up or put them in drawers. What happens instead is that my basket remains on my bedroom floor and I just pull clothes out as I need them until the next wash day.

5. I put potato chips in my sandwiches...ALL of the time. Gives it a little crunch and added flavor. I also add french fries to my fast food hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. This also is thanks to my father...and before anyone gives me shit...Katie does it too.

If I have the option of going right or left to get to the same place or if I am just driving around for the hell of it...I will ALWAYS go right.

I like the dark when I am sleeping. I don't like to have a light on at all.
However,
if I watched a scary movie and/or just got done watching my show about gost hunters(which i do all most every night of the week). Then I will be freaked out and not wont to turn the tv off.

lol....yes i do but chips in my sandwiches all the time. I also put fries in my hamburgers and chicken sandwiches too. People think i am weird cause of but it, but i don't care...I like to be diff!!!!

We are a little weird linny..;O)

My son thinks he cannot have a sandwich if all the chips are gone.. "It's just not the same, Mom!" LOL I've never thought of fries on sandwiches... maybe I'll tell my son about that.. a new thing for him to try! :)

I always have to eat an even amount of things. Like I cant have one of something, it has to be 2. Or if you want to take something from me, you have to take 2.

I'm the same with the closet, and the frenchfries on my chicken burger...but only from McDonalds.

I also watched Unsolved Mysteries that spawned an irrational fear of UFO's and therefore i have NEVER slept with my window open. They can probably come through closed windows, but in my world, they cant. And i'm safe.

Must have chips on a sandwich. I also fear aliens and after that abduction movie starring D.B. Sweeney, I can't remember the name, I came home and looked in all my closets and under the beds. It TOTALLY freaked me out!

If you're ever in Pittsburgh, check out Primanti Brothers Restaurant. It's a sandwich shop where they put the french fries and coleslaw on the sandwich. Oh, so yummy.

I'd like to leave the bathroom light on... but Alshrim won't let me. He likes it dark... and usually the window is left open - even when it's freezing out...

Chips - I usually eat with hamburgers and hotdogs... but never tried them on... I'll have to try sometime :)

That's crazy - I think of left as odd and right as even also. But I prefer left to right and odd to even...
I didn't know anybody else did that!!!

I LOVED Unsolved Mysteries, that was the best show and scary too. I remember once when watching it my tv started to turn this green colour and it started flicking, i freaked out. Turns out the picture tube was going on it, but i was too young to know that.

I also cannot sleep with my feet dangling...something hit my hand once when it was dangling, eveyone figures it was the cat...i hit it and whatever it was was hard as a rock.

There is a fastfood place in Pittsburgh that puts French fries into your burgers. If you order fries as a side item, it doesn't come separate, it goes right into the burger.
I also can't have anything hanging over the edge of the bed. I sleep in the middle for fear something will touch me.
I also posted some facts, one of them being afraid of the dark.

its wierd that what you may think others think is wierd is really their norm too, so your not really wierd. ok, now i just confused myself ;) I feel ya on the number thing bc when i was in school a teacher said odd numbers were unlucky. I have to sleep in total darkness. all doors in the house, room have to be closed at all times, especially at night when I sleep. I do the chip thing everyonce in a while ;) I also dont sleep with my feet dangling or shoes at the head of my bed bc I get nightmares. I dread chores but if I dont do em, nobody will ;(
p.s. i tagged u ;)

Miss Ash has failed to mention that her cat, that i also think it was, weighed a whopping 30 pounds. That cat felt like a rock. He was as heavy as one...but I loved him just the same.

Ah, thanks for sharing Linny. I must have all doors closed--closet and the door to my room--to sleep. I think of right as even too.

u know what... reading the first four off ur list.. i thought to myself... me and linny would never work.

1. i am left handed and was born on the first.. so i love going the odd way...

2. i must sleep in pitch black

3. i don't like wussy women. hahaha.

4.i don't like messy women. ;)

as u can see..the first four totally turned me off of u..my former blog southern belle was no more...

then i read Number 5.

5. I thought I was the only one who put chips and fries in their sandwiches :)

*sigh* <3 ;)

omg, I have the same thing with the odd/even numbers, but mine is the reverse of yours...I guess there really is balance in the universe!

Likewise, the monsters under the bed thing...I'm completely under my covers up to my eyeballs or I can't fall asleep at night. The chips in the sandwich thing though...that, I'll have to try...

Linny, you would do well in Albania! They eat their uumm, not really hamburgers, but whatever burgers by putting their french fries on top of the "meat". (the meat reminded me of kennel ration patties - you are most likely too young to recall what that is). I have to have crunch stuff - tortilla chips on all mexican food along with the rice and salsa. I like the crunch.

Hmmm.
I'm left handed.
I prefer to turn right if I can.
I like ALL doors within my house open. (That eliminates isolation, and leaves no place to hide.)
I have nightlights on in the bathrooms. Not the bedrooms. Usually the glow from the computer screen lights up the livingroom at night, so you can see to walk around.
Can't do the TV on at night, and I turn on a fan to mask noises.
I like potato chips or doritos on my sandwiches, real mayonnaise.
I like fritos in my tomato soup.
I hang a foot out from under the covers to cool off, I heat up at night like a radiator.
My wonderful housedog will alert me if there is anything seriously wrong. That's what I feed him for.

he he he, I am totally with you on the closet door. Darkness I am OK with.... crisps (chips) are some of the greatest foods known to man. British people love flavoured crisps so if you get it right, you can even break them up and put them on ice-cream! Also, adore the fact you read what I write in a British accent. Am I posh like the Royal Family or common like a shoe-shine boy from a Dickens novel? I'm intrigued!

OMG Linny! I thought I was the only crazy person who puts chips on sandwiches.
They have to be the right chips...on the right sandwiches too.
My favorite: ham and cheese with Original Lays and mayo. Mmmm.
Now I'm all hungry.

One weird thing about my hubby: He cannot grasp the chip thing. 12 yrs and 4 billion sandwiches later...he still doesn't buy the right chips. Sheesh..how hard is it??

The numbers thing is funny because for some reason, I prefer odd numbers to even numbers. I hate to clean also. When I do laundry, I just fold my clothes and leave them in the floor for days. And I used to put Original Lay's potato chips on my baloney sandwiches all the time. Mmmm. . . yummy. I've never tried fries on my burgers before, but I think I might.

See now it's weird I can go with the odd ones and not the evens. Even though I totally know that evens feeling. There is just no symmetry in three or five things. Sigh...

You are TOO CUTE! I can't dangle my feet over the edge of the couch or bed when I watch a scary movie. My hubby likes to sleep with the TV on... maybe his "real" reason is that he's scared of the dark, too. I'm going to give him shit. :)
