Parking Space Stalkers
Okay what is it with parking space stalkers? You know the kind I'm talking about. The ones that coast behind you when you walk down a parking aisle at the store so they can see if you have an ideal space for them to steal. For the record, if I realize someone is doing that to me, I purposefully walk past my car or cut across to the next lane. Go stalk someone else because you will NOT get my space.
The worst offenders are the ones that pull up when you're trying to unload your buggy and they just sit there, staring at you. I always look at them like, MF, I know you are not sitting there trying to rush ME! Assholes. Now, if someone is immediately getting into their car, sometimes I might slow down but if they've got a cart FULL of groceries...don't stop!!! Go find another space. How rude is that?! Are you so freakin' lazy that you can't stand to walk 5 more feet to the door? When the stalkers do this to me, I have been known to load my bags in the car, return my buggy to the corral and then walk BACK into the store. Ahhh yes, I can be a spiteful bitch.

i always have fun with them
i unload my shopping into the car, then look blank for a second and pretend i've forgotten to get something, lock the car again and head back to the shop
christmas is the best time for that because then you can have real fun by putting your shopping in the car every half hour or so thus narking loads of people off
Sorry Linny!! I totally do that. But only at the mall. And at christmas time. I promise.
....I usually do things like that. Walk back into the store...expecially if i've had a bad day...i'm feeling spiteful...
I usually do most things out of spite. It makes life more interesting, and unpredictable
I hate those stalkers! They really piss me off sometimes. Of course, sometimes I like to think they're following me because they like to watch me walk. So of course, I'll just walk around the parking lot for a while, unless it's an old man. That creeps me out.
Where was I going with this....oh yeah.
Those stalkers piss me off too!
Oh no Berly...say it isn't soooo...
I hate those people too... But I rarely see them since I usually head to the local Krogers at around 3AM...
I only do it when it is so busy that I can't even find a spot out in the middle of now where! I promise! I don't mind the walk! LOL!
The only place that I do that is at Walmart. You can't find a parking spot there unless it's in another country. But I do not wait for people to unload their bags.
What about in an entirely full parking lot, at work? Is that okay?
I don't know, parking lot stalkers really don't bother me. I do it myself, I don't mind when other people do it to me. We're all just trying to use the same spots, why jerk them around? Why does it bother you? It's not personal. If there's other empty spots, I certainly wouldn't wait--I really like to park far away for the walk--but if the parking lot is completely full, you HAVE to stalk. Just yesterday morning I was looking for a spot in an entirely full parking lot and a guy came out of the elevator, noticed me circling, and gestured. "I'm leaving," he said, and I accepted his kindness gratefully.
Now, waiting for a spot to empty when there are perfectly good spots just a little farther away is just silly and I've never seen anyone do that. If they did, I'd probably take comfort in the fact that they are lazy, probably obese, and will never amount to anything.
I'm glad so many people feel the same way!!! Aarwenn, I just happen to think it is really rude. If there are no parking spaces available at all, that's one thing but to sit there and try to rush someone because you don't want to park 5-10 feet further down the aisle is annoying.
hahahaha... i've got to get me some spite! that stalking thing totally works on me, i get all guilty that they want my spot and i'm not going fast enough, so i totally rush and get out so they can have my spot. backbone? where are you?
I do the exact same thing too. It's so fun to watch people look like idiots!
lol!!! that's hilarious...my mean, vengeful existence is simply too lazy to walk back to the store...but yes, I do find it annoying as well--a girl needs a second to plug in her ipod upon getting into her car and settling in before driving off!!
P.S. how are people attaching their pictures to their comments??
Linny, I say let's just add them to our xmas list. ;-)
Oh, and with regard to your "need," I posted driving directions on Aggies site. Hope you like ice cream ;-)
I hate the stalkers and the people who park in hadicap spaces. I don't know why. I have the use of my legs so I'm not affected personally but it just ticks me off to see some bimbo clinb out of her sports car, toss her hair, and waltz into the mall!
Again, I arrive too late to post a new idea. What to say, what to say? Hmmmmm.....How about: How many carrots does it take to change a lightbulb?
The worst parking stalking I've seen was at A&M, when the parking space ratio was like 1 parking space per 8 students. People would get to the parking lot about 2 hours before class and just sit in line, waiting for a parking spot to open up. It was intense! Take a bus, for the love, you creepy stalkers!!!
And Berly - I think it's acceptable to stalk at the mall during Christmas time...it's not a matter of having to walk a little further; it's a matter of getting a space at all...to shop or not to shop, that is the question :)
LINNY...Hey girl, thanks for sticking up for me on my blog. I MISSED what Clarissa said, What did she say?? Crap, I hate that shit. I cant believe she deleted her comment before I got to see it.
linny...and pp for that matter
you are both stars and both deserving of many thanks on my part, sticking up for each other is what friendship is all about, and although it's doubtful i'll ever meet either of you, i consider you both to be very good friends
PP and PX...absolutely no problem. I consider you both to be my friends as well...we have to
look out for each other.
See Princess' site for a recap of Clarissa's comments. I believe that I remembered most of it before she deleted it.
aah yes, parking lot ethics.
I'd have to agree with Aarwen. I don't mind the stalking. I'm not going to rush, but whatever.
What I do hate, is when they wait too close to my spot so I can't turn as I back out. Grrr.
oh those stalkers are SO annoying!
Alex--you totally hit the nail on the head! I hate it when the stalker sits practically on top of my rear bumber--MF! Give me some room!
